In my letter yesterday, I talked about the limitations of medication and the benefits of high-quality supplementation. Click here to read yesterday's issue in the cholesterol series. Today, we'll breakdown the connection between cholesterol and heart health.
Ready?
Imagine a smooth-flowing river. Clear waters with no obstacles slowing them down. This calm river is like the blood flowing through your arteries.
Now, imagine sediments and gunk slowly accumulating in this river, disrupting its flow. This is precisely what unhealthy cholesterol does to your arteries.
Over time, these 'sediments' or plaques can build up, obstructing the arteries, making the heart work harder to move blood, and preparing the way for heart diseases like arrhythmias, atherosclerosis, stroke, etc.
Now, Reader, your heart is NOT just a biological organ. It’s the seat of your emotions, passions, and faith.
Have you ever experienced heartbreak or heartwarming moments? It’s critical for us to protect our hearts from emotional damage as well as physical damage.
So, when we neglect our cholesterol levels, we're not just risking a heart condition—we're jeopardizing the very core of our emotional well-being.
I've seen patients, young and old, face the repercussions of unchecked cholesterol. The stories are heart-wrenching.
Thankfully, I’ve seen those same patients find hope, exercise resilience, and get better. Many have turned their health around for themselves and their loved ones.
Get your cholesterol levels checked, make informed dietary choices (when writing your grocery list), and embrace a prayerful lifestyle with relationships that cherish your heart.
Remember, every heartbeat is a testament to life's beauty, complexity, and victory. Protect it, nurture it, and listen to it.
